1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS-SS Convertible
This 1967 Camaro was born on November 17th, 1967 in the Norwood plant as a 1967 Camaro Convertible with deluxe interior (12667), SS 350 (4P) with Rally Sport Option (3L) and a manual transmission (2L) and sent to Wiltsie Chevrolet in East Hampton, CT. Other factory born options include a Center Console (2G), Gauges (3D) and a tinted Windshield (W). It was purchased by its current owner and his father in 1981 as a restoration Father-Son Project. With the original engine long gone, it was replaced with an other 350 from a 1970 Camaro and a Saginaw transmission prior to the 1981 purchase. It was used and enjoyed as purchased for some years, then full restoration commenced in 2006.
A full extensive rotisserie restoration with every nut and bolt replaced began. Full disassembly, sheet metal panels in full were replaced as needed which included full floors and quarters. It was completed in 2008 and used, driven and enjoyed since. Its restoration is now 10 years old and has proved its quality in the last 10 years with no signs of fatigue, cracking, or signs of a poor quality restoration showing through. Quality fit and finish for sure. I can assure you this car has been driven and enjoyed by its owner and I, the seller representative, properly tested it in its true SS configuration! 🙂 Its quality restoration stands true and always had drivability in mind throughout the process. It remains a beautiful and stunning car that is ready for the next caretaker to enjoy.
