1930 Packard model 740 Super 8 limousine.

3rd owner.  The car was built at the Packard plant in Detroit, Michigan and sold new by the Packard dealership in Montreal, in late 1929 ,to a wealthy lumber  baron in Sherbrooke, Quebec ( near St-Johnsbury, Vt).  His estate sold it to the previous owner in 1962,and current owner purchased it ,after his death in 2006.

Most of the restoration work was done in the early'80's:

  • Engine rebuild
  • Most chrome re-plated
  • New interior
  • New tires
  • New paint
  • New brakes
  • Accessories: dual tail lights, Packard script side mount mirrors, dual Trippe lights ,side mounts ,trunk rack & trunk.

The vacuum fuel system has been overhauled and works perfectly. I also have a good used Packard trunk to replace the one presently on the car, also it has a new 6 volt battery.

All the gauges work except the fuel gauge.  Been on 2 local tours this summer and it performed extremely well.
